Katie is an Actress, Producer, and Director.
At age 14, she began taking classes at a modeling school in Toledo, which led her to the International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) Competition held in New York City in 1996. Holmes made her big-screen debut opposite Kevin Kline and Sigourney Weaver in the film The Ice Storm directed by Ang Lee. Since then, she has starred in dozens of million-dollar grossing films, including Go, Wonder Boys, Batman Begins, and Logan Lucky.
She made her directorial debut with the 2016 film All We Had, in which she also starred alongside Stefania LaVie Owen, Luke Wilson, and Judy Greer. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, and was soon released by Gravitas Ventures. New York Magazine said of it, “the lead performances ring true.”
Katie is in the process of adapting the Kathleen Tessaro novel Rare Objects into a screenplay and plans to direct the film. She will also helm a feature film based around Rhonda Byrne‘s famous self-help book, The Secret.
Katie currently lives bicoastally with her daughter.
